Krystal Ahart is an associate at the Bankruptcy Legal Center™ in Arizona. Her desire to be a lawyer began at a very young age (she was even voted most likely to become a lawyer in elementary school!). She focuses her practice on representing individual and commercial clients in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. She is an experienced Arizona bankruptcy attorney who has successfully guided many clients through the process of bankruptcy, providing the high-quality, personalized legal advice they need through every phase of their case.
Ms. Ahart has been licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona since 2012, after obtaining her Juris Doctor degree at Arizona Summit Law School (formerly the Phoenix School of Law). Krystal started with the law firm of James F. Kahn, P.C. (Bankruptcy Legal Center™), in 2002, moving her way up from file clerk/receptionist, to secretary, to paralegal, and finally to lawyer.
In addition to her work at the Bankruptcy Legal Center™, she is an active member of the legal community and devotes a substantial amount of time to serving the underserved. Krystal works closely with the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) on the Friend of the Court program at the United States Bankruptcy Court, where law students and lawyers assist Pro Se Debtors through reaffirmation hearings. She also volunteers in the Self-Help Center at the Bankruptcy Court, and was recently honored with the Volunteer Attorney Leadership Award for her commitment to the success of the Center.
Krystal serves on the Bankruptcy Section Board and the Young Lawyers Division Board of the Maricopa County Bar Association; she is the Chair of the Mentor Committees for both. Ms. Ahart also serves on the Executive Committee of the Arizona Consumer Bankruptcy Counsel (ACBC). In her free time, Krystal loves snowboarding & hiking.
