I grew up in Austria and came to the United States after high school to attend college and law school. I am a process driven task master, adept at organizing and managing people, information, and projects. I am thorough by nature, always diligent in my follow through, and able to communicate information and ideas efficiently. As a natural consensus builder, I am able to guide working groups of various backgrounds towards common-sense solutions. Having served on (and ultimately led) a number of committees, I know how to translate my skill set into the leadership necessary to ensure the collective success of a project.
In my first position as an attorney, I rose to the position of junior partner in less than one year and was instrumental in building the firm’s consumer bankruptcy practice from the ground up. In 2010, I co-founded a boutique firm focusing on consumer bankruptcy and personal injury matters, where I led the bankruptcy department and acted as managing attorney. In 2017 I joined Schian Walker PLC as an attorney in their bankruptcy and commercial litigation department. Finding the non-consumer world less than fulfilling, I joined Upsolve in 2019. Upsolve helps people with simple no asset Chapter 7 cases who can't afford to hire a lawyer prepare their bankruptcy forms through a free online portal.
I have been a presenter at a variety of continuing legal education events, including the annual convention of the State Bar of Arizona, the ABI Southwest Bankruptcy Conference, and Norton’s Bankruptcy Litigation Seminar. In 2017, I was selected as an Honoree of the American Bankruptcy Institute's 40 Under 40 program, program that recognizes insolvency professionals who are committed to the highest standards of achievement at work and in their communities.
I am fluent in English and German. After graduating cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2006, I relocated to Arizona with my husband.
