Register for the State Bar Bankruptcy Section Seminar - all day on June 18, 2021!
This full-day program will be action packed with panelists discussing all things relevant to bankruptcy practitioners today. The faculty includes a diverse group of local consumer and commercial bankruptcy practitioners.
In the morning, attendees will be able to choose between Consumer and Commercial breakout sessions. Consumer panelists will discuss emerging issues with Chapter 13 cases, student loans and recent decisions of note from the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, and the Arizona Bankruptcy Court. Commercial panelists will present on issues related to recent legislation including the Small Business Reorganization Act (SBRA) of 2019 and the CARES Act, the nuances of healthcare bankruptcies, and provide an update on recent case law.
The afternoon portion of the program will include a presentation on the elimination of Ethical Rule 5.4 and emerging issues facing bankruptcy practitioners. There will also be a roundtable discussion featuring the Clerk of the Court, the United States Trustee for the District of Arizona, and the Bankruptcy Court Judges regarding Court operations post-COVID 19.
There will also be an optional Virtual Wine Tasting/Networking event at the end of the formal program.
