Tax Debt Before and After Bankruptcy: What Bankruptcy Attorneys Should Know
Presented by Jason M. Silver
This seminar will give bankruptcy attorneys a practical overview of key tax issues before and after filing bankruptcy. From a tax attorney’s perspective, it covers how IRS collection tools—such as Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status, Installment Agreements, and Offers in Compromise (OIC)—interact with bankruptcy strategy. Attendees will learn how timing, coordination, and issue-spotting can improve client outcomes and avoid common pitfalls when dealing with tax liabilities.
